About

Our Story

At the West Virginia Creative Network (formerly Tamarack Foundation for the Arts), we believe creativity is at the heart of community, culture, and economic vitality.

Since 2001, we’ve worked to uplift artists and creative entrepreneurs across the Mountain State—helping them build thriving careers, expand opportunities, and connect with one another.

The West Virginia Creative Network

Our community includes visual artists, musicians, writers, performers, creative businesses, and the organizations and leaders who champion them. Whether emerging or established, we are ready to help creatives find resources, support, and connections here to allow their career to flourish.

Through fellowships, professional development, exhibitions, networking, and community initiatives, we’re weaving creativity into the everyday fabric of West Virginia—where artists are valued both for their talent and their impact as vital contributors to innovation, revitalization, and economic growth.

The reach of the West Virginia Creative Network holds strong within the state, with the presence of artists, members, and patrons spreading across 60+ counties.
