About Robert Updegrave

Paints On Fire was founded in 2022 out of a need for a personal creative outlet in my retirement. My work is inspired by the color and excitement I see in world around me. I am a colorist, painting with Acrylics. I attempt to create art which is exciting and interesting which elicits feeling in the viewer.

Biography

I am an untrained artist. currently painting with acrylics on stretched canvas. I have a Facebook shop and an Etsy shop, as far as a social media presence and have my work for sale in two gallery/gift shops….namely., PAC 713 Market, Parkersburg, WV ,and, Take Me Home Galleries, Ravenswood, WV. I began painting again, after a 30 year hiatus, when I retired from the WV Corrections System. I feel fortunate to have a supportive relationship with the Parkersburg Art Center, Parkersburg, WV
