Marlie Ramey | Crowded Cat Studio

Marlie Ramey is a queer artist based in Hurricane, West Virginia. They run their own artistic stationery company, Crowded Cat Studio, where they create bold, colorful designs and sassy sayings digitally on their iPad. Alongside their digital work, Marlie also enjoys creating through traditional mediums such as block printing, embroidery, and collage.

In addition to their personal art practice, Marlie teaches art classes in a variety of locations and is always looking for new audiences to guide through creative experiences. Recently, they launched a Craft Club in Putnam County to introduce residents to artistic mediums they may have never tried before.

Marlie was also selected to continue the Central City Quilt Trail tradition in Huntington, West Virginia. This upcoming piece will be their first public mural—hopefully the first of many.
