About Maddie Edicola

I am a Studio Art/Art Education Major at Davis & Elkins College graduating this coming May. I am hoping to become an art teacher post graduation. I am currently creating pieces for my senior exhibition which will be comprised of my favorite mediums— ceramics, printmaking, and sculpture. I have always loved art in all its forms- I have played classical piano for 15 years, participated in a fashion design for 3, and have been involved in various other art programs since childhood. I have had my fashion displayed in the Virginia Museum for Fine Arts and my photography in National Geographic Magazine.

I primarily work in ceramics, my senior show at Davis & Elkins College are dish sets inspired by fine chinaware that I have entirely hand painted myself. I also love sculpture and have created mosaic mirrors for my senior show. I did this by creating a framework with painted chipboard and cardboard and then cutting glass and tile to create and inlay my mosaic design into the frame. I also have created large paper mache lanterns. I also love printmaking and make all my designs through Procreate and Adobe Photoshop.
