I am a writer and educator from Charleston, WV. I hold an MFA in creative writing from WV Wesleyan and I have served as a literary arts fellow with the WV Creative Network and as a teacher fellow with C-SPAN and the Pulitzer Center.
Artist Statement
I am an Appalachian writer and educator. My work–both fiction and nonfiction–often explores the history of Appalachia and seeks to challenge dominant narratives about the region.
