About Diane Carole Parker
Our business is commercial signs and graphics, but my passion is fine arts. Since my retirement last year (from my day job), I’ve been able to dedicate much more time to producing pieces and working with kids in Taylor County. I work in 2 and 3 dimensional styles that are both eclectic and impressionistically influenced. My husband and I still own our “mom and pop” but I devote most of my time to making art. My most recent gallery show, Haunted Appalachia, was October, 2021. I am also a published author, a life coach and a Reiki Master.
Biography
I have been a professional artist (working in commercial arts) for over 30 years. I am a former Graphic & Fine Arts Designer from WVU and have owned a Graphic/Sign Shop since I was 19. I’m currently 61. I have been the Curator of Gallery 62 West, 62 West Main Street in Grafton, WV for 3 years. I am a painter, sculptor, sign painter and graphic designer. I remember drawing before I could write my name. I’m originally from Terra Alta, WV and have lived within 45 miles of that homestead my entire life.
