About Chris Jackson

As a documentary photographer, I focus on conveying the truths in front of all us. Having worked as staff photojournalist for over a decade nothing is more important to me than accuracy and honesty. I take these ideals with me to every project I take on. Whether its working to tell the stores of those battling addiction, poverty, grief, community enhancement, joy, your brand and business or just everyday life I work to crate images that are true in their agency and authenticity. I’m deeply humbled to continue to do important work after 14 years as a professional photographer.

Biography

I am a full-time documentary photographer living in the New River Gorge in Fayetteville, WV. I’m available for regional, US and international work. I have been a professional photographer since 2009. My photojournalism work has been published in numerous dailies and magazines including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, Oxford American, Dirt Rag, Blue Ridge Outdoors, WV Living and WV Explore.
