About Beth Liebig
For the first part of my life, I saw all the ugliness the world had to offer. For the second part of my life, I want to give back beautiful and whimsical art work that tells a story. My quilted items are full of dimensional elements, often hand painted background and capture the beauty and lore of West Virginia. My photography shows the soul of West Virginia and is often used in my quilts. And, as I grow as a professional, so will my art.
Biography
I am a mixed media artist and I also do photography and textile art. I was raised in St Louis MO and moved to West Virginia nine years ago. I have always been creative but life got in the way. Ten years ago, I left my high stress jobs and began to dabble in art again. Three years ago, I began to create things to sell and a year ago I decided to become professional in order to share my beautiful, whimsical art with the world. (And make money for more supplies) I try to capture the sprit of West Virginia in my art. I juried into the Fayetteville gallery in January and sold that quilt and have been accepted into FestivAll.
