Question
What's your favorite thing about working with the creative community in West Virginia?
Answer
The creative community here is radically supportive in a way that I haven't encountered in other places. There's a genuine, deep desire to see each other succeed and very little pretentiousness or competitiveness.
Question
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Answer
Probably teleportation. I love traveling, so it would be great to be able to zip around and see the world without having to buy a plane ticket.
Question
What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know?
Answer
I worked in a theater costume shop all 4 years of college. I learned how to design and sew my own clothes—still one of my favorite creative hobbies when I have the free time for it!
Question
What's your favorite West Virginia place, park, or landmark?
Answer
My favorite place in WV is the property where my grandparents used to live in Clear Creek, WV. The mountains there are beyond beautiful, and I always feel an immediate sense of peace when I visit.
Question
What's your preferred creative outlet? What art do you create?
Answer
I'm a singer-songwriter. Music and writing have always been the creative fields I'm most drawn to.
Question
What is a creative outlet or medium you have not explored yet, but would like to?
Answer
Oil painting. I absolutely adore the texture and depth of oil paintings, but I've always been a little scared and self-conscious about trying to learn how to do it.
