Grayson Cooper

I was born and raised in West Virginia, spending much of my childhood paddling the rivers and skiing the mountains of Appalachia.

I graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design with honors spring of 2023 where I majored in illustration, and discovered my love for Natural Science Illustration through my classes there.

I currently live and work in the New River Gorge region of West Virginia, where I spend as much time as I can climbing, paddling, and enjoying the outdoors! I love creating work inspired by nature and the creatures and people who occupy it

My work focuses on outdoors adventure, Appalachian Biodiversity, Natural Science. My work while focused on the natural world is influenced by my queer identity. I primarily work in the editorial field of work creating illustrations for magazines and other publications
