I like to paint real places and things but not in a realistic style. I like to keep it loose and just enough detail to bring it to life. I don’t want it to look like a photograph. I like big brushes and palette knives.

Biography
I have been painting since 1983. 40 years and still love to paint. I love the spontaneity of watercolor but I learned to paint in oils and still like to use oil paints. I love the beautiful landscapes of WV , love to paint farms, flowers. I paint pets. Portraits. Murals.
I love to teach people how to paint. I’ve been teaching many years at Beckley Art Center and Cedar Lakes in Ripley WV.
Im a past president of Beckley Art Center and WVWatercolor Society. Im a juried artist in Tamarack and I’ve won many awards in numerous art shows.
